Its tongue lolled to the side through a menacing grin, lumbering forward it even appeared to swagger.

“You pulled the mimic?”

Above is my take on Kat’s Tuesday photo prompt challenge. I’m looking for reasons to write and this seemed like a fun one! I’ve used characters from the LitRPG I was working on rather than creating new ones. If you haven’t played D&D, MMOs, or RPGs in general, the concept of a mimic chest might not mean much – I’m not sure if it appears in other films or books! So I’ve included a picture of a mimic as well as the chest for the photo prompt.

Here is the photo prompt chest:

Mythril nodded, a blush of shame.

Strum raised her lute, “I, too, am a slave to the booty.” She sighed as she brought the instrument to her chest, “We’re all a slave to the booty.”
